1. While logged in to the account, click on the arrow icon at the far side of the command bar
2. Scroll down and click “setup” then select the safety menu
3. From the drop-down menu, select “deactivate my account”
4. Then Facebook will ask you your reasons for wanting to deactivate your account, so you choose from the set down reasons
5. Because this action is considered as sensitive, your Facebook password is required to complete it
6. Finally, Facebook will display some of your friends profile pictures alongside a link to deactivate the account, this gesture is to convince you not to carry on with your intentions. Just click on the link to finish.
