To deactivate Facebook, follow the steps listed below:

Step 1: Login to your Facebook account from the Facebook login page

Step 2: Now click on the down arrow symbol present at the top right corner of the main window.

Step 3 A drop-down menu list will appear. There you can see several alternatives to choose from such as create page, develop a team, activity log, news-feed choices, logout Settings and even more. So, as we need to deactivate the account, merely select the Settings option.

Step 4: The page will reroute to the Settings window, where you can change anything related to your account. From the choices offered simply choose the Security tab and click on it.

Step 5: There you will certainly see some security Settings such as password changes, public secret, recognized gadgets and so on. You have to click the Deactivate account link which you can get at the bottom of security setup page.

Step 6: The minute you click on the Deactivate account option, another link called Deactivate your account will appear. Simply click on that link.

Step 7: Facebook will certainly show you some form fields to be filled such as reasons for wanting to leave, web pages, Email opt out and more. So, just fill those things and also click the Deactivate button. And that's it, your account will be deactivated efficiently
